Technology policy

Every tool KRROP works in runs in the cloud, and nothing about you or your company is supposed to live on someone’s laptop. This page lists those tools, what each one touches, and the rules our people work under. What we hold about whom, and for how long, is in the Trust & privacy policy.
Where files live
KRROP’s files, and the files a client gives us, are kept in KRROP’s Google Drive or in the cloud storage the client prefers. Our internal technology policy says neither is ever saved on a staff member’s own phone, tablet or computer.
The rules for anyone working with KRROP
These come from our internal technology policy. They’re requirements we set, not an audit result.
- A password of at least 12 characters, mixing upper and lower case, a number and a symbol, changed at least every 180 days and never reused between services.
- Multi-factor authentication on every service that offers it.
- Access to KRROP and client data limited to what a person’s role needs.
- A lost device, or one belonging to someone who has left, can be wiped of KRROP and client data remotely. A lost device is reported within 24 hours.
- Rooted or jailbroken phones and tablets can’t connect to KRROP systems.
If something goes wrong
If KRROP or client data is exposed, we’ll tell the clients affected within one business day by email and within two business days by phone.
